Imperial Nobility
Imperial Nobility is a relatively new team in the Blood Bowl series. It was one of two teams added to the board game’s 2020 Second Season box set. Veteran players will recognise the Breton roots of Imperial Nobility. These rich nobles and crime lords like to play a rough-and-tumble running game.
The Imperial Nobility is one of the best teams in Blood Bowl 3 for quickly moving around maps, but their general stats are not the best. Even though Retainer Linemen are the most popular and least expensive players to buy, their low Armour Value (AV) rating hurts them. On the other hand, ogres are powerful players on Imperial Nobility. They cost 140K, have an AV of 10 or more, and start with a wide range of skills, such as Bone Head and Loner.
Skaven
The Warhammer-inspired Skaven team is one of the best Blood Bowl 3 races for players who value movement and speed. Skaven, on the other hand, need to keep moving because they have a low team AV and can be killed quickly by enemy attacks.
The Gutter Runners are one of the best things about the Skaven. They can “shoot the gap,” as they say in American football, and blitz opponents by sneaking through gaps in their attacking lines. As one of the most popular choices in Blood Bowl 3, Gutter Runners can also take advantage of the Skaven’s many mutation skills, such as Extra Arms, which makes them a threat to stop passes.
Elven Union
The Elven Union are the cheapest elves to buy in the Blood Bowl game. Their facemasks and neat haircuts make them easy to spot. The Elven Union are some of the best receivers or people who catch passes. They use their high Agility (AG) as a group to make great plays in tight areas.
Unfortunately, Elven Union players are also easily hurt, so teachers will have to fix them up in the Apothecary all the time. Also, while Elven Union Catchers and Blitzers are extremely skilled in the passing game and with stopping passes, they are also expensive costing $100-115K.
Nurgle
Some of their opponents run away in fear when they see the Nurgle team, but this strange version of the Chaos team is the best at defence on the list of Blood Bowl teams. The Nurgle are not a good choice for new coaches because they don’t have much attacking firepower and move slowly.
Rotters are some of the most popular picks on the Nurgle because they are so cheap, costing only 35K, and because these linemen are a pain. Foul Appearance and Disturbing Presence are also great ways to mess up the plans of the other team’s coach.
Orc
The Orcs are one of the most well-balanced teams in Blood Bowl 3, so any new player should pick them. Since they have a high AV as a team, trainers can make mistakes without worrying about losing the whole team.
Orcs have a lot of raw strength but not much speed or quickness, so they do best when they face their opponents head-on and are not very good at passing. Some coaches have bad dreams about gangs of Orcs beating their teams because they are cheap and tough.
Chaos Chosen
The Godly Chaos Chosen are a standard “bash” team that relies on having high strength and AV to last longer than their opponents. But these Chaos players are also surprisingly quick and can easily avoid strikes that are coming at them.
Except for the Beastman Runner, all of the Chaos Chosen on the roster cost more than 100K. Players will have to rely on the Beastman Runner to fill many different tasks. The team also starts out with very few native skills, making it hard for new players to come up with tactics other than just crashing into opponents. The Chaos Chosen might not always win, but they will always cause chaos and disasters, which is what their name means.
Black Orc
The Black Orcs are a new addition to the Blood Bowl game. They are the biggest and most evil Orcs. The Black Orcs are easy to spot because their skin is pale green. They can hit as hard as anyone, but they also use a shocking amount of strategy during games to beat their opponents.
The Black Orcs are slower than the Lizardmen and need to plan how to use their Goblin Bruiser, Black Orc, and Trained Troll to their best advantage because they all have different skills. Grab is one of the Black Orc’s best skills because it can catch other players and make them easy to foul.
Humans
The Humans are a clear choice for new players in Blood Bowl 3 based on their name alone, but it’s their versatility and lack of obvious weaknesses that make them the best team to learn the game with. With a strong group of blitzers, the Humans can handle some head-on battles, and their Throwers and Catchers keep their passing game going.
Halflings and Ogres aren’t quite human, so they can have different skills like throwing teammates. Humans are easy to start with because they are good at everything, but as Happy Wheels game goes on, it gets harder for the team to learn all parts of Blood Bowl.
Dwarf
Dwarves were one of the first races to play Blood Bowl, so it’s hard to picture the Teams List without them. Even though they are small, the annoying Dwarf are some of the hardest teams to completely beat in Blood Bowl 3.
The team has a strong core of starting skills and very strong armour, such as the expensive but dangerous Deathroller with an AV rating of 11. This draws in new players. On the other hand, the Dwarf doesn’t have the power of other teams that run and play defence, so leaders will have to play the long game to beat their opponents.
Dark Elf
Dark Elves have been one of the most successful teams in recent Blood Bowl board tournaments. They have some of the most powerful players on any team, so anyone who is new to the video games should give them some thought.
The Dark Elves are different from other elves in that they are better at attacking from close range than moving quickly and throwing the ball. The Witch Elf is one of the most dangerous players in Blood Bowl, and the way she can move and rush at the same time is very appealing. The Dark Elves as a team are not very strong, so the Apothecary is a must-have for long-term success.
Blood Bowl 3 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
