Delta may be planning to provide passengers with additional options as they prepare for their 2025 travel targets.

During its investor day presentation this week Delta hinted that it may introduce new cabins and sorts of services for passengers to purchase in addition to the six it already offers.

In keeping with its alternatives such as Comfort+ and Premium Select, which are a step between typical fare classes, the airline intimated that further classes of service could be added after 2025 to “expand” division matching quality to price.” 

These price classes include amenities like increased legroom and complimentary premium refreshments.

“Since meeting passengers where they are is crucial, Delta has a long history of listening to and acting upon customer input, including suggestions for shopping, bookings, and enjoying travel. our goal,” a representative for Delta told Travel & Leisure.  

There is a financial incentive to extend the cabin option, as more people are choosing premium tickets (such as Delta One or Premium Select), and the airline expects premium cabins to surpass its main cabin in revenue by 2027.  

During the investor event, the airline also announced more investments in Delta-operated airports, the lounge network, and technology-enabled personalization.

In October, the airline provided a first glimpse at the new interiors for its cabins, which would soon be available aboard aircraft. The sleek, black, and red seats feature new cushions, and many will include memory foam for enhanced comfort.
