However, this program is not applicable for Basic experiences, and it’s also usually available for eligible travel on domestic flights inside US, PR, and US Virgin islands.

What Happens to Your Return Flight?
The main problem with missing a Delta flight is the way back. When a passenger just doesn’t show up and doesn’t make a cancellation or modification before the flight leaves the gates, Delta can void the rest of the traveler’s trip. That could be a flight days after the original miss.
The carrier’s contract of carriage specifically says failure to appear for a flight without a cancellation or modification before scheduled departure can lead to the remaining trip being canceled.
